Parsing your config file before the program exists
#embed puts a file into the translation unit and reflection enumerates a struct's fields. Together they turn a configuration file into a compile-time constant, with the keys derived from the struct rather than written twice, and a missing entry becoming a build error rather than a failed startup.
Embed a file at compile time: #embed in C++26
Baking a file into a binary has meant a build step forever: xxd -i, a generated header, a CMake custom command that drifts. C++26 adopts C23's #embed, so a file becomes a literal the compiler reads at translation time. No codegen, no glue. Here it is running on Compiler Explorer.
