Meeting C++ 2026 lands in Berlin with a units-library keynote

Meeting C++, the main European C++ conference, returns to Berlin from 26 to 28 November 2026, hybrid for the fifth year so you can attend onsite or online. Two of the three keynotes are announced.

The first is Mateusz Pusz, author of mp-units, the physical-quantities-and-units library that drew unanimous support in its first LEWG review this spring and is now working its way toward C++29. We have spent a six-part series on what that library does and why dimensional analysis in the type system is worth the trouble, so the author giving a conference keynote is a fitting bookend. Expect the talk to cover where the standardization effort stands and what the library looks like now.

The second announced keynote is Kate Gregory, a reliably excellent speaker on the human side of the craft, the design decisions and team dynamics that shape how C++ actually gets written. The third keynote slot is still open.

If you follow one European C++ conference, this is usually the one, and the program tends to fill out well before the autumn. Worth putting on the calendar now.
